This is a New CW rotation Starter for Right-Hand Rotation Engines. This Starter Spins Clockwise. It will fit most GM Small Block & Big Block Inboard Engines that Rotate Clockwise (Right Hand), as viewed from the Flywheel. It was used 1997 & Up. This item replaces Merc. 50-79604A3, OMC # 981289. (Determine your starter rotation) MES5276M Fits The Following Applications MODEL BRAND YEARS SERIAL NUMBER This starter is used on inboard applications with Right Hand Rotation engines that have a Rear, High mount starter. It will also replace the earlier version (MES5275M) that was used before 1997. This starter spins Clockwise (CW). It will replace Mercruiser #50-79604A3,  OMC #981289.
