This is a thrust bearing that is used on the forward gear of OMC Stringer and Cobra outdrives. it is also used on Johnson/Evinrude outboards as a thrust bearing for the forward and reverse gear with the large gearcase. it fits the "M" type, V4/V6/V8 from 2002-2006. on the "O" type it fits the forward gear only from 1979 thru 2006.
